more about us

FoldAR® was founded to introduce truly revolutionary products that meet the demands of high-quality compact AR-platform firearms primarily for the Law Enforcement and Military Special Operations communities. FoldAR® is a Veteran owned and operated company, and all core components are proudly made in Texas, and the rest are proudly made in other areas of the USA.

FoldAR® series of firearms are often improperly described as filling a “niche” in the compactable AR15 market. While the statement is somewhat accurate, FoldAR® products do much more. In reality, the FoldAR® technology is an evolutionary replacement of the successful 70 year-old platform. Transformative by nature, it has the ability to serve as both a fixed-barrel platform AND the ultimate compactable foldable AR solution, able to stay fully assembled in all configurations and being limited in compactness only by the length of its barrel.

Further defining the transformative nature of FoldAR® products, we anticipate that within another 20 years non-folding AR15 upper receivers will be antiquated and perceived as “outdated technology”. Transformation is a real possibility simply because there are neither functionality, reliability, nor safety trade-offs, and there are no significant additional manufacturing costs compared to non-folding uppers.
